Funke-McKay, Ian

After having spent two influential years working with the Monthu group, Ian Funke-McKay currently studies an undergraduate degree at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Primarily a landscape painter in oils and acrylics, often dealing with the juxtaposition of shape, gesture and atmosphere. Ian has recently taken to sculpture and installation as a means to explore these elements as well as different communicative and less formal concepts.
