Lindley, Pat

Pat has been illustrating, drawing and painting for approximately 30 years as part of her professional work, but primarily for her own pleasure. After taking a year of courses in the Introductory Design program at the Nova Scotia College of Art in 1976 she became a technical illustrator at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography for 6 years. During the next twenty-five years, she attended numerous courses and workshops, following a somewhat ad hoc programme of art training that was driven by her desire to stay active in art while raising her family. She completed a Visual Arts Certificate in Studio programme at NSCAD University, and now able to devote herself full-time to making art.

In 2010 and 2013, she was fortunate to have work accepted for the Pastel Artists of Canada Annual Juried Exhibition in Toronto. Her work was featured in a solo show at the Saint Margaret’s Sailing Club in 2010 where she also participated in a joint show 2012. In 2012 and 2013, she participated in the Peggy’s Cove Area Festival of the Arts ‘Paint Peggy’s Cove and Studio Tour events and now serving as President of the PCAFA Board.
