Artist Statement

Painting allows me to express my connection with the world around me.  I have always had a desire for making something with my hands.  I love the challenge of conveying a 3D subject in a 2D format.  Whether I am painting a realistic image or an abstract one, I love to share my vision of how I perceive the world.  Painting can often be a way of distressing or escaping the pressures of daily life and it’s very satisfying to realize that something you have created may outlast generations to come.
