Artist Statement

One of the happiest day of my life was in 1999, when I received my Canadian citizenship. It was always my dream to come to Canada and live close to nature and wildlife. I was drawn to its history and the possibilities of life in such a large country.

At the age of 18, I started to experiment with all kinds of materials and colors to make creative art. Then life and work led me to other directions. Finally, years later in winter 2014, I started painting again, feeling connected to an inner world that needed to be expressed and the paintings came, one after another.

My introduction to Woodland style paintings, to the native peoples West Coast Style art, plus everything from my earlier life including collecting art has shaped my work. Vibrant colors with clear lines and combinations of forms and shapes, communicates the ever-developing and changing nature of the beautiful world in and around us.

Light plays an important role in creating contrasts with an object. I enjoy how far I can go with the brush, the colours, powerful lines and exploring the possibilities of surprising those who are drawn to My Art.
