Nicole Power is a self-taught visual artist from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Attracted to both urban and coastal scenes, she enjoys wandering, camera in hand, and is always freshly inspired by the port city. Her work has been displayed in various galleries, including several exhibitions at Teichert Gallery. She also paints plein air every summer in small towns in Nova Scotia. Nicole is graduating from the Schulich School of Law in May 2017.
I take inspiration from both industrial and natural landscapes. I believe that anything the light touches the right way can make beautiful artwork, but I prefer to showcase the colour and unique architecture of Halifax and Dartmouth. I expect that my home city will never cease to provide new and inspiring subject matter.
