Collection: Scott, Barbara

Barbara Scott is an artist in Bedford, Nova Scotia.  Barbara has been involved in art education as a career and study over a lifetime. Her approaches to her art reflect a knowledge that is ongoing,  accumulative, curious, reflective and rigourous. 

Abstract painting, landscape painting, figure painting, and ceramic work have all been part of Barbara's personal expression in visual art. Paintings by Barbara are currently in collections in Sweden, the United States, Canada and Great Britain.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Barbara primarily works in acrylic on canvas,  wood and paper surfaces. Sensitive to the many fragments of life, nature, urban environment, family, geography, to name a few, Barbara pursues painting with curiosity, energy, and passion to make a surface that 'works' as a visual statement.
