Silver, Monique

Monique Silver is a visual artist practicing in Sipekne’katik. She completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Mount Allison University with a focus in drawing and printmaking. Her mixed media creations utilize drawing and relief printmaking techniques to support her use of repetition, layering, collage and color blocking. This work captures the complexities of living in and inhabiting bodies. They preserve lived emotions, responses, and expectations of the body that contradict one another.
