Collection: Syperek, Anna

Anna Syperek was born in England in 1950 and immigrated to Oshawa, Ontario, with her family in 1952.  From 1969 to 1971, she completed two years of the Fine Arts degree program at York University, concentrating on drawing and painting.  In 1971, she moved to Antigonish, Nova Scotia, and taught herself watercolour painting.  She continued to paint the landscape of Nova Scotia and in 1977, went to the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design to study printmaking.  She graduated with a B.F.A. in 1980 and set up her own etching studio in Antigonish.
