About the artist:
Lori earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts/Art Education from NSCAD University in 1993. Since graduation, she has participated in over 20 group and solo exhibitions. Most recently, Lori completed a residency and exhibition at Grenfell University Art Gallery funded by ArtsNL. Read more about Lori here.

What is your biggest indulgence as an artist?
Art supplies!
What is important to you as an artist?
As an artist, I want my viewers to really look at the world around us and value what we have on this earth.
What challenges you the most in your practice?
Prioritizing time to create.
What themes or symbols are important to you as an artist?
The land, water, sky and our connection to it fascinates me. I believe we are shaped by our surroundings.
If you were to hang one work of art by another artist in your home, which would you choose?
David Hockney.
