Louise Baker has a degree in Visual Communications from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Her art education arises from many years working as an art director. She has also taken many art workshops from visiting professional artists.
She has had numerous solo and many group exhibitions including Teichert Gallery, Visual Voice Gallery, Neptune Theatre, Amber Rose Gallery, Lady Luck Gallery and Gallery Nineteen. Baker is also included in Nova Scotia’s Contemporary Artists’ Volume 2, edited by Dee Appleby.
Color, texture and light excite and inspire me. The endless possibilities that are available in creating art will forever be stimulating. I like it when people see themselves in my art – their memories, their inspirations – and something resonates: the mysterious power of artwork.
