Artist Spotlight: Ron Kuwahara

Artist Spotlight: Ron Kuwahara

Artist: Ron Kuwahara

Ron Kuwahara began his artistic vocation with a rewarding career as a physicist. His artistic compulsion to draw and paint led him to leave scientific life and to study at NSCAD University where Ron completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in painting in 2011. His paintings convey the peripheral or unconscious image by leaving out focused details, details obscured by rough brushstrokes and indistinct patterns. Ron’s landscapes show common everyday scenes of Nova Scotia. Read more about Ron on his profile.
