Collection: Arsenault, Judy

Judy Arsenault is a Nova Scotian artist known for her encaustic and acrylic paintings depicting abstract interpretations of her rural landscape. 

A graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design in 1980, Judy paints from her home studio in Maitland, Hants County. Arsenault is represented by galleries in Nova Scotia and Toronto.

Her work is in many private collections, and in the public collections of the Municipality of the County of Colchester, the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia Art Bank.

ARTIST STATEMENT

In her practice, Judy explores her connection to the place that she calls home. The powerful Fundy tides, the changing of the seasons and the cycles and rhythms of the land provide rich source material for her work.
