Artist Statement
Since coming back home to Nova Scotia a few years ago, I’ve tried to take the time to better appreciate the landscapes in which I live and my relationship to them. Part of this process has been my return to a serious and daily practice of photography.
Most of my photography is in some way nature photography, from closeup photos of plants and insects to panoramic seascapes. For me, the act of taking a picture is all about enjoying the opportunity of seeing the world with fresh eyes. I hope that anyone seeing my work will be able to share in that moment.
