Collection: Brask, Thomas
Thomas Brask is a Danish-Canadian artist. Born in Roskilde, Denmark, he grew up in a household where art was continuously discussed. Thomas’ mother was an artist, working primarily with watercolours. It was with her encouragement that Thomas started working in drawing and painting.
In his teens, Thomas approached one of Roskikde’s local artists who gave him lessons, and a friendship developed to this day. His ideas and constructive criticism were important in developing Thomas’ personal style.
When Thomas was twenty two years old, he met his wife in Greece and moved to Toronto. After six years in Ontario, he moved to Nova Scotia.
Thomas has lived Halifax for twenty years. The brilliantly coloured landscapes and seascapes of this province is still his source of inspiration.
