Brown-Conrod, Barbara

Barbara Brown Conrod was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and currently lives in Port Williams, Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. She has been making and exhibiting artwork for over thirty five years. Her first public commercial exhibition was in British Columbia in 1986. She works primarily in oil and watercolour painting but also works in drawing, intaglio, encaustic painting and sculpture.

Brown Conrod began studies in art at Acadia University, studied watercolour at the Worcester Museum, Mass., USA, has a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Certificate in Computer Graphics from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design. Barbara has participated in numerous group shows and has had several solo exhibitions of her artwork in Halifax, Antigonish, and New Glasgow.
