Collection: Wood, Bruce John

Bruce John Wood is a painter, sculptor, and teacher based in Upper Onslow, Nova Scotia. For the past thirty years, he has made a living by painting and sculpting full time, focusing on representational or realist artwork.

Bruce was a resident artist at the Nova Scotia Teachers College in the 1980s, and has contributed to the art scene of Truro with multiple murals. His illustrations have been featured in the Atlantic Salmon Journal.

Art openings and new pieces for display are exciting events that Bruce continues to enjoy. He embraces the statement by Winston Churchill that it takes audacity to become a painter, and he adds: a slight touch of insanity.
