Dueck, Gwen

Gwen Dueck worked in the financial district of Toronto and New York City before resettling in Chester, Nova Scotia in 1995. She began painting in 2004, exhibiting her work at various galleries in the area.

Artist Statement

I work in acrylic and consider myself an abstract expressionist painter, though I also explore landscape and figurative painting. My work explores different elements of abstract painting, such as the power, rhythm, grace, and above all, energy, that can be expressed in it.
