Collection: Fralich, Diane
Born in Montreal, Diane was awarded a scholarship and subsequently received a diploma in art from the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. It was there that she worked in oil under the tutelage of Arthur Lismer (one of the Group of Seven).
A Nova Scotia native who moved back 30 years ago, she began painting almost exclusively in watercolors. In recent years, she has been painting in acrylics and her work continues to evolve. She has exhibited in galleries and exhibitions throughout the region. Diane's paintings are well sought out and have been purchased by art lovers throughout the Maritimes, the U.S. and Europe.
Artist Statement
Painting takes me to a place where I feel relatively content (if the painting is going well). I am inspired by the beauty of St Margaret’s Bay; I see paintings everywhere.
