Collection: Goreham, Sue
A resident of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Sue Goreham returned to her hometown in 2016 to retire from a successful career in professional tattooing in western Canada.
Painting since childhood, Sue is predominantly self taught, with the majority of her art training being in relation to her profession, one that saw her achieve first place awards in trade competition and feature articles in both national and international tattoo publications.
But her first love has always been the brush and canvas, a passion that has placed her work in collections from Nova Scotia to British Columbia.
Her art has been described as a contemporary mosaic of deeply expressed feeling, exploring the boundaries of suggestion in pattern, found throughout her unique style.
Her work is represented by both Murray Manor Art And Culture House Gallery in Yarmouth, and Teichert Gallery, Halifax.
Artist Statement
I have found that the art seems to always find it's people, without fail, and I am filled with gratitude to have been the facilitator of something so truly magical.
