Harnish, Sheila

Born and raised on the beautiful West Coast of Newfoundland, Sheila has always been inspired by the natural world around her. After completing her studies at NSCAD, she worked in graphic design for a number of years.  Building on her lifelong love of drawing, she studied watercolour, pastel, and acrylics through local workshops and later pursued online training in oils. Sheila has exhibited in local group shows and is a yearly contributor to the Mosaic for Mental Health Art Exhibition and Sale.

Artist Statement

“I’m drawn to nature’s harmonies—its graceful lines, organic shapes, and the interplay of soft and bold colour. Painting is my way of celebrating the beauty the natural world shares with us, and it’s always meaningful when others feel that connection too.”
