Johnson, Jordan

Jordan Johnson is a painter based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her work draws from personal experience, the guidance of music, and the strength of community, exploring tension, memory, and feeling. She balances bold gestures with intimate detail, capturing moments of stillness and reflection. Moving between abstraction and pastiche, her practice investigates how we carry, release, and embody emotion. Currently participating in a VANS mentorship, she continues to develop her practice, translating complex feelings into paintings that invite viewers to sit with them, linger, and reflect.
