Deborah MacDonald’s home is Nova Scotia, both by birth and by choice. She is primarily self taught, belonging to the long tradition of self-taught maritime artists.
Her work is in the permanent collection of the Nova Scotia Art Bank and has received recognition from the House of Assembly in Guysborough, Nova Scotia.
My art has been described by some as hyper-realism.
Birds, elegant and beautiful, have long captured my imagination. With watercolour and graphite, clean lines and close attention to detail, I work to capture their magic.
I am privileged to live among the fauna and flora of Nova Scotia and I try to impart that through drawings and paintings.
