Victoria Maclean graduated from Connecticut College for Women with an honors degree in art. She also studied woodcut printing, lithography, and figure drawing at the University of Wisconsin. When she moved to Nova Scotia, the beauty of the landscape influenced her change from Abstract Expressionism to Realism. In addition to her art work, she has taught art at St. F. X. University and been Director of the St. F. X. Art Gallery. She has exhibited in numerous galleries and had many solo exhibitions.
