Artist Statement
People admire the reverence and gentle humour featured in my paintings. I am known for vibrant colours, clean lines, eclectic compositions and quirky titles. My inspiration comes from surrounding landscapes and lifestyles and is often influenced by history and the role that development plays in altering our environment. Rural scenes and the animals that inhabit those spaces are featured prominently in my work, in large part due to my father, who practiced veterinary medicine in southern Ontario.
