Artist Statement

Light has long been at the heart of my artistic exploration—not merely as a physical phenomenon, but as a force of transformation, renewal, and vitality. To me, light is more than something that dispels darkness; it illuminates the soul, nurtures life, and holds infinite possibilities.

My work is inspired by the ways light interacts with the world around us. I’m drawn to tender buds breaking through after a long winter, the sea shimmering under sunlight, waves moving with nature’s quiet rhythm, and the ever-shifting hues of the evening sky. Canada’s landscapes—with their raw, natural beauty—offer an endless wellspring for capturing these fleeting yet profound moments.

Recently, my focus has evolved beyond light itself to the vivid moments it creates—moments filled with joy, grace, and stillness. Light moves and transforms, gently guiding us through each new day. Step by step, we grow—surrendering to nature’s rhythm and discovering beauty in the luminous spaces around us. With gratitude, I seek to share the radiant energy of these light-filled, free-spirited experiences. If my work can bring even a single moment of joy, wonder, or comfort to someone, I can imagine no greater fulfillment.
