Collection: Misner, Lynn
Lynn Misner is a visual artist who has been producing and selling work for more than half of her life. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mount Allison University in 2007, with a major in painting, sculpture and new media arts. She went on to earn a Diploma in Gallery and Museum Practices from the University of Western Ontario with the goal of becoming a full time artist and gallery owner in her hometown of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Barren landscapes, rugged coastlines, towering mountains and huge, open skies are her true inspiration.
Artist Statement
I enjoy working with contrast and light, especially in my skies and many of my pieces have been described as being warm and atmospheric but also dark and volatile. Living and working throughout Canada has given me many subjects. I use mainly oil and charcoal to create medium to larger paintings. I have held several exhibitions in Canada, and have pieces in many private and public collections around the globe.
