"I feel incredibly lucky to be an artist making paintings full-time. I found a comfortable spot where I sometimes get lost in a steady flow, making things. I listen to music, dance in my studio and try to put energy and feeling in my paintings of nature. 

When so many things are worrying in the world, swimming, kayaking, and being in wild places offer me healing comfort. I have found in the past few years, when I am looking for inspiration, that by focusing on the things I love in the natural world with gratitude and wonder, gifts often appear.
