Artist Statement
I work in both an abstract and representational manner. Abstraction, for me is a dance between inside feeling and external visual qualities, particularly colour and movement. It is immediate, playful and fresh. In my representational work I strive to reveal the resilience and wonder in our everyday, natural world. This world is full of metaphor and insight into the human condition. Making art feeds and energizes me. I can’t imagine my life without it.
